Renovation of the 1924 City Hall Auditorium
US Highway 277 expansion - development/growth corridor. Annexation in the new
highway corridor area has already begun so that the property can be better
developed for business creation.
Development and preservation of a major pre-dinosaur Fossil site. Educational

Beautification program “Keep Seymour Beautiful”
Developing and promoting community alliances along the Great Western Cattle Trail
Numerous negotiations with small and medium size companies for expansion
  or location here
Hunting and eco-tourism enhancement programs
Several grants and foundation application are in progress. Application already
approved are:
• Texas Department of Agriculture's Downtown Revitalization grant for sidewalks
• • in the amount of $150,000
• TDA's Beautification Grant for downtown antique style lighting
• SCDC awarded $140,000 RBEG grant from Rural Development for low interest
• • Revolving Loan Fund Grant
Business Park infrastructure development
Renewable energy projects:
• Two Wind Energy companies have already leased sixty thousand acres of land in
• • the immediate region. Thy have accumulated the required one year of favorable
• • wind data.
