8. Discuss, consider and take action to purchase the Asphalt Zipper, 500 Tier 1, with X fine cutter head for the factory installed HCAC Price of $103,434.00, with a 5 year purchase/lease plan as quoted and received from Clarice Christensen, with Asphalt Zipper, Inc.

Motion:
Motion made by Council Member Winn and seconded by Council Member Henricks, to purchase the Asphalt Zipper 500 Tier for the factory HCAC Price of $103,434.00 with a 5 year purchase/lease plan as quoted and received from Clarice Christensen, with Asphalt Zipper Inc.

Vote on Motion:

passed unanimously.

9. City Administrator’s report, report of suggestions/concerns
received in City of Seymour Suggestion Box, and Well-level Report.


City Administrator Shephard stated that there was only one concern in the Suggestion Box
and it was for the disposing of hazard materials (batteries, tires, and things of that nature).
The City has no way of disposing those materials, and our only method is by going through an outside company. The process can get costly.

Also, Atmos Energy gave the City of option of increasing the franchise fees from
4% to 5%. The City chose to opt out on this offer, due to the fact that the increase would eventually be passed to the customers. I will be out of the office attending a meeting
June 2nd and 3rd. That is all I have for tonight.

10. City Council members’ reports and setting of future agenda items.
The City Council had no reports or future agenda items at this time.

deliberate regarding commercial or financial information that the City Council has received from business(es) that the City Council seeks to have locate, stay, or expand in the City of Seymour and with which the City Council is conducting Economic Development Negotiations, being Seymour Industrial Building.

Note:
The Council reserves the right to vote or to act in open session
upon any of the items listed in this agenda.

12. Take Action resulting from deliberations during Executive Session.
No Executive Session took place; therefore, items #11-12 were skipped.
