A regular City Council Meeting was held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007,
at the Portwood Arts and Civic Center, 800 E. Morris, Seymour, TX 76380.

CALL TO ORDER/ ROLL CALL

by Mayor Craighead at 7:02 p.m.

Council Present:

Mayor Dan Craighead, Council Member Donna Fest, Council Member Donald G. Coltharp,
Council Member Don Butler, Mayor Pro Tem Rose Tankersley and
Council Member David Snyder.

Council Absent:

none

Counsel Present:

none

Staff Present:

City Administrator Joe Shephard, City Secretary Conchita Torrez,
Police Chief Tommy Duncan, Water/WasteWater Superintendent Greg Shumate.

Other Participants and Guests:

Judge Linda Rogers, Carolyn Bomberger, Pat Craighead, Shawn Cude and David Booe.

was led by Mayor Dan Craighead.


ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE MAYOR:

At this time, Mayor Craighead will make announcements as related to the events of the previous weeks. As always he may make any rearrangements to the order of items on this agenda as he deems prudent in the interest of time.

The Mayor had no announcements.

CITIZENS QUESTIONS AND / OR COMMENTS:

At this time, interested citizens are encouraged to indicate their interest in speaking, and upon being recognized by the Mayor, approach the podium to express your comments. Please speak clearly and speak directly into the microphone. Citizens may speak on any matter other than personnel matters or matters under litigation, for a length of time not to exceed five minutes, please. Neither Council action nor discussion may take place on any matter, until such matter has been placed on an agenda and posted in accordance with law.

No citizens asked to speak.

CONSENT AGENDA:

Items listed under the Consent Agenda are considered routine and are generally enacted in one motion. The exception to this rule is that a Council Member may request one or more items to be removed from the Consent Agenda for separate discussion and action.


1. CONSIDER APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA AS FOLLOWS:

a) Approve Thursday, June 21, 2007, Regular Meeting Minutes and
July 5, 2007 Special Called Meeting Minutes.

b) Approve the bills dated June 18, 2007, June 19, 2007 and June 29, 2007.

c) Accept Reports
1. Monthly Investment Report
2. 1ST National Bank Accounts – Summary Report
3. Employee List
4. SFRE Membership Total Report

d) Accept and approve the City of Seymour, Texas, Fiscal Year 2006-2007,
Quarter 3 Investment Report, as presented by the Investment Officers.

END OF CONSENT AGENDA

Motion:

Motion by Council Member David Snyder, seconded by MPT Rose Tankersley,
to approve the items on the consent agenda as presented.

Vote on the motion:

passed unanimously.
