3. Hear the presentation of annual audit as prepared by Jim Castagna, C.P.A., with the firm of Castagna and Gregg, P.A., under contract, for the City of Seymour, budget year beginning October 1, 2005 and ending September 30, 2006. City Auditor Jim Castagna discussed each page of the audit- each Council Member was given a copy. Mr. Castagna commended the City for the employees they have and the job they are doing.

4. Discuss and Take Action to accept the annual audit as prepared by Jim Castagna, C.P.A., with the firm of Castagna and Gregg, P.A., under contract, for the City of Seymour, budget year beginning October 1, 2005 and ending September 30, 2006.

Motion:

Motion made by Council Member Donald Coltharp, 2nd by Council Member Donna Fest , to accept the annual audit as prepared and presented by Jim Castagna, C.P.A., with the firm of Castagna and Gregg, P.A., under contract, for the City of Seymour budget year beginning October 1, 2005 and ending September 30, 2006.


Vote on the Motion:

passed unanimously.

5. Discuss and Take Action to appoint the firm of Castagna and Gregg, to conduct the annual audit for the City of Seymour, for the year beginning October 1, 2006 and ending September 30, 2007.

Motion:

Motion made by Council Member Donald Coltharp, 2nd by MPT Don Butler, to appoint the firm of Castagna and Gregg, P.A., to conduct the annual audit for the City of Seymour, for the year beginning October 1, 2006 and ending on September 30, 2007.

Vote on the Motion:

passed unanimously.

6. City Administrator’s report, report of suggestions/concerns received in City of Seymour Suggestion Box, and Well-Level Report.

CA Joe Shephard stated that council should have received some information on various items and the audit report. CA Shephard stated that at the end of the year everyone is trying to get their vacation hours wrapped up.

He also stated that he would be on vacation December 18th – 22nd.

7. City Council members’ reports and setting of future agenda items.
Mayor Craighead stated that due to the absence of Council Member David Snyder and Rose Tankersley, the council would not enter into Executive Session, and therefore it be moved to the January Agenda.

Executive Session: (closed to the public) pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Local Government Code under:
§ 551.087: Deliberation Regarding Economic Development Negotiations;

8. Receive information from City Administrator, Discuss or deliberate regarding commercial or financial information that the City Council has received from business(es) that the City Council seeks to have locate, stay, or expand in the City of Seymour and with which the City Council is conducting economic development negotiations, being Cactus Juice/Mill Creek formerly Safe Solutions.

9. Take action resulting from deliberations during Executive Session.
