Seymour Police Department and Holding Cell facilities at 102 West California Street in Seymour. This location was donated to the City many years ago. Many Seymourites remember this building in its previous incarnations as "Mitchells restaurant", a donut shop and as the community "Youth Center". The Seymour Police Department has 7 officers and 2 reserve officers, 2 Police Secretaries, School Crossing Guards and Holding Cell Attendents. One of Seymoyr’s Police Cruisers.
This is a customized vehicle for use with K-9 Officer "Panther". There is a special alarm that will go off if the A/C fails, in order to assure that she will never overheat if alone in the vehicle.
The City K-9 is a female Belgian Malinois. She was born on May 2nd 2003 in Holland. She was purchased through the Hill Country Dog Center in Pipe Creek Texas. Panther is a very high spirited working K-9 who loves doing her job and just being around people. To date, Panther has assisted the Police Department as well as other agencies in the effort to apprehend and prosecute those who deal in the illegal sale and possession of narcotics. Panther holds two certifications, one through the Hill Country Dog Center as well as the Texas Police Canine Association.
