in the amount of $300.00, for vacant property described as

agenda item, until Council received clarification on the address for this lot description.

9. Discuss and take action appointing Mike Griffin
as the Acting Chief of Police.

Motion:
Motion made by Council Member David Horton, seconded by MPT Sid Winn, to appoint
Mike Griffin as the Acting Chief of Police for the City of Seymour, Texas, Police Department.

Vote on Motion:
passed unanimously.

10. Swearing in Mike Griffin as Acting Chief of Police
by Mayor Ronald B. Reeves.

At this time Officer Mike Griffin was sworn in as Acting Chiefof Police by Mayor Reeves.

(a.) Harris Land Lease (b.) Chief of Police Position

Motion:
Motion was made by Nan Gilbert-Mathis, seconded by Council Member David Horton for
Mayor Reeves to give Mr. Gray information received from TCEQ concerning regulations.
The City will have to cease the Harris Lease by June 30, 2010, the renewal date of the lease.

Vote on Motion:
passed unanimously.

(B) Chief of Police Position

Motion:
Motion made by Council Member David Horton,
seconded by Council Member Billy Henricks, to give Acting Chief of Police Mike Griffin a
10% pay increase, effective immediately.

Vote on Motion:
passed unanimously.
