It appears that once again, Baylor County and Seymour are going to have an extremely good hunting season. Local citizens are reporting that dove, quail and turkey are abundant. Also, deer and hogs are very much in evidence. Since we are on a large migratory flight path, we always have an abundance of water fowl.

The list of properties available for hunting leases is quite extensive. The Seymour Chamber of Commerce is proud to help hunters and land owners find each other. To request information about available hunting leases, please contact Myra Busby at the Chamber office.

Baylor County also has extensive fishing resources at Lake Kemp and Miller Creek Reservoir.

The USGS provides real-time lake levels for both Lake Kemp and Miller Creek Reservoir.
