Baylor
County Ag Appreciation Day
This annual salute to the agricultural community celebrated its 16th year
in 2006. It is an event to showcase and honor all those involved in agriculture
in Baylor County. Agricultural suppliers show their appreciation and their
products along with local businesses, groups and organizations to show their
support of this vital community of agribusiness men and women.
A sponsored luncheon is highlighted by a noted guest speaker. In 2001, that
speaker was Ms. Susan Combs, Texas Secretary of Agriculture. Past guest
speakers have included President George W. Bush, Governor Rick Perry and
Representative Charles Stenholm among other noted guest speakers.
The evening prior to "Ag Day' is a scholarship fund raising dinner
hosted by the Ag Appreciation Day Committee.
