The Chamber served up 8 dozen eggs and biscuits, three gallons of gravy, sausage, juice and all the fixin's for the annual Dove Hunters Complimentary Breakfast held Saturday Sept 6th. Chamber board members preparing the breakfast were Faye Hollar, Doreen and Don Kolacek, David Horton, John and Judy Starr, and Myra Busby. The morning started early with preparations beginning at 4 am. The first group of hunters hit the Those local businesses who took advantage of free advertising at the booths were Bayco's, The Feed & Seed Store, Gregg Shumate's Taxidermy, Chip & Carrie Endy's Longhorn Outfitters, The Baylor County Banner, and Winterhawk. The hunters enjoyed looking at all the brochures provided by the Texas Cooperative Extension such as: Dove Management, along with Brush Management Effects on Deer Habitat, Factors Affecting Deer Diets and Nutrition, and Counting Quail, to name a few. Businesses who provided door prizes were: the City of Seymour, Baylor County, Santa Rosa Telephone, Contech, Dairy Queen, and the Chamber. The Chamber eagerly looks forward to next year's breakfast and the opportunity to visit with the hunters.
