The first Thursday of December is the annual Chamber of Commerce
Lighted Christmas Parade to officially welcome the holiday season. And, most importantly, it heralds the arrival in Seymour of jolly ole St. Nick and Mrs. Claus high atop fire trucks provided by the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department.

Various businesses, clubs and organizations decorated themed and lighted floats and entries in the competition and move through downtown along Washington Street
to delight the judges, locals and our many visitors.

At the conclusion of the Parade, Mr. & Mrs. Claus receive Christmas lists and wishes from hoards of children at their official Seymour office, Santa's House.

  1. Seymour's Favorite Firetruck! She lights up on Christmas

  4. The Seymour High School Football Pathers just wanted State Championship for Christmas...Although they did not get their wish, the community was excited they were given the opportunity to be in the playoff. Way to go 2007 Seymour Panther Football Team!

  5. The Seymour High School Band performed during the Firemen's Hamburger Feed.

  6. The Volunteer Firemen cooking for the annual Hamburger Feed that raises money for their Christmas Toys for Tots Campaign.
