A Special Called Meeting of City Council was held on Friday, May 27, 2011, at 12:00 noon, at
Salt Fork River Estates Complex, 448 US Hwy 283 South, Seymour Texas 76380.
Call to Order and Roll Call:
by Mayor Ronald B. Reeves at 12:08
Pledge of Allegiance:
was led by Mayor Reeves.
Council Present:
Mayor Ronald B. Reeves, Council Member Donald Coltharp, Council Member David Horton,
Council Member Nan Gilbert-Mathis, Council Member Billy Henricks and MPT Sid Winn.

City Staff Present:
Interim City Administrator John W. Studer, City Secretary Conchita Torrez
and Emergency Management Coordinator Billy Henderson.
Remove Tabled Items from
May 23, 2011, Regular City Council Meeting.
1. Discuss, consider, and take action on proposals received from Power Lift Foundation, Abry Brothers Foundation and AAA Guardian Foundation, regarding
SFREC Building.
Mayor Reeves asked that Council table this item until information and
suggestions are received from Ralph Perkins.
Motion made by:
MPT Sid Winn and seconded by Council Member David Horton to table this agenda item.
Motion passed unanimously.
2. Discuss and take action allowing Logan Scarlett to
utilize SFREC and give golf lessons in Baylor County.
Motion made by:
Council Member Donald Coltharp and seconded by Council Member Billy Henricks
to allow Mr. Logan Scarlett to give golf lessons at the SFREC.
Stipulations:
(1) For student and parent to sign a liability waiver
(2) For Mr. Scarlett to pay City of Seymour $1.00 per student
(3) and in the event that student and instructor use the golf greens,
non members will be required to pay green fees.
Motion passed unanimously.
3. Discuss, consider and take action on
City of Seymour Pool items/projects and updates.
Motion made by:
MPT Winn and seconded by Council Member Billy Henricks to check with our
current certified lifeguards if there is an interest in giving swimming lessons
with arrangements to be made through City Hall at $10.00 per student for lessons.
Motion passed unanimously.
Regarding City of Seymour Pool
projects a motion was made by:
Council Member Donald Coltharp and seconded by
Council Member Nan Gilbert-Mathis to install a wind ventilation turbine for the
City Pool Pump House by Tim King Construction.
Motion passed unanimously.
4. Discuss and take action on
Selenium Issue with TCEQ.
No action was taken on this agenda item.
5. Discuss, consider and take action regarding
expense information on generator trailers
and insurance with Baylor County.
Motion made by:
MPT Sid Winn and seconded by Council Member Billy Henrick
s to share in the insurance expense with Baylor County regarding
the generator trailers at a cost of $550.50 each.
Motion passed unanimously.
6. Adjournment made by MPT Winn and seconded by
Council Member Billy Henricks to adjourn
meeting at 1:15 p.m.
